Ideally, two or more lights should illuminate for optimal performance. As the tester operates using the fence's own power, no batteries are required and you can use it anytime, anywhere.

Easy to useUsing the Gallagher Neon Tester is very simple. Insert the supplied earth stake into the ground and hold the metal contact point against the fence. The neon lights illuminate depending on the voltage; more lights mean higher voltage. A Neon Tester is not suitable for testing the voltage of the energiser or the earthing. You need a Fence Voltmeter for this.
