The Styx 3m round wooden garden parasol in black is a popular choice for modern garden schemes and contemporary outdoor furniture. The frame is built from ethically sourced eucalyptus, a hardwood stronger than most standard parasol woods, combining durability with the warmth of natural wood. Raising and lowering the canopy is handled by a double pulley rope system with locking pin, which makes operating a full 3m parasol easy and smooth. The 48mm hardwood pole keeps the structure firm and upright, and the reinforced ribbed frame maintains the canopy's shape across seasons. Leather overlays and metal fixings at each rib junction protect the canopy fabric at its most vulnerable point, preventing wear over time. The black 230gsm polyester canopy is rot resistant and carries a UV protection rating of 50+, with a fade resistance of level 5/6, making it well suited to extended outdoor use. The canopy is fully removable and machine washable at 30°, making seasonal cleaning simple. For routine fabric protection, we recommend the Golden Care Fabrics and Upholstery Care Kit. A 25kg concrete parasol base is required and sold separately. If the Styx is used through a centre-hole dining table, a 25kg base is sufficient. For freestanding use, a minimum base weight of 50 to 70kg is recommended. When not in use, the 3m Parasol Waterproof Cover will protect the canopy through the off-season.
